Reflections: Poetry Jam

Reflect

My face in the mirror of your eyes
Comes back to linger,
 memories
Time gone by, an evanescent future.

Your views of broad blue waters
Outside a glass of wide recall,
deep dwellings
That run over my own warm seas.

Beautifully expressed. I especially like the first stanza too...sounds so very loving / nostalgic. Nice to be reflected in the eyes of someone loved.

nice use of evanescent ...the second stanza really brings this home strongly for me...i like how you used the water in that second stanza as well...

The first line of the poem is a lovely prelude to your reflection ...

I like this very much and thank you for linking at Poetry Jam. Lovely images here, beautifully crafted. First I thought my fav was the first stanza then I thought the second so I guess I like the whole thing!

Lovely feel to the words that make it trickle like water over a mirror. This has a really great effect. I like it.

Lovely. Could not be said in prose, I think. (One of my criteria for a fine poem.)

What a lovely place to find shared memories- in another's eyes!
