A haunted room ~ Nice one ~
Oh, Gerry, it seems we went the same route. As soon as I saw the pic, I thought ghost... thinking about yesterday, maybe hoping for tomorrows.
Lovely.
Sadly simply beautiful
Excellent. Seeking old days; I like that. And time passes regardless.
Simple and sad... glad you're back.
Indeed, Frances was haunted.
Poignant and precious.... thank you for sharing this, Gerry. =D
The haunting comes across loud and clear...
I got that ghostly feeling from the image too.
perfect words for this..x
Very sad and powerful
Yes. Even the forks look ghostly.
Excellent, has all the elements of the haiku moment.
I can read so many different things into this. I work in a very nice nursing home, but a nursing home just the same. The one meaning that instantly came to my mind are the lost and lonely elderlythat live where I work. The ones whose memory is sadly fading, the ones whose visitors are sporadic at best. Very sad. Very poignant. Thank you for sharing.
Such a haunting look in her eyes, you captured it well in your poem.
Yes well captured in just a few well placed words. I also saw that haunted look in her eyes, a look I have seen many, many times in my work.
Succint!
This fits so well with the image.
It is a haunting face. Very nice!
Excellent haiku...
